Atletico-Madrid rivalry heats up ahead of semifinal

Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid in Champions League. I know majority for five and a half years, and have no doubt that tomorrow will be a good game.

The Rojilancos are now on a 10-game unbeaten streak at home in the UCL, winning eight of those matches and drawing the other two fixtures.

Unfortunately for them, there would be no goals for Diego Simeone's men as Los Blancos started to grow into the game and dictate possession, threatening Jan Oblak's goal intermittently.

"We will try to do something that's going to be very hard, but we won't give up until the referee blows the final whistle".

An already fierce rivalry between the Spanish giants has intensified in recent years by Real's three Champions League victories over Atletico, including in the 2014 and 2016 finals. "We have to work from today to become equal to Real Madrid and Barcelona". The players will feel the atmosphere, in a semifinal, and they need that.

"We're going to try to do something practically impossible [in this game]", Atletico Coach Diego Simeone said after the loss, according to The New York Times.

Simeone said: "If I have to motivate my players for this match, then I should leave".

"I hope we can repeat it, we scored two early goals and that allowed us to sit back and then score two more".

Serial killer suspect went undiscovered for more than a year
Arnol Rojas survived an attack that riddled his vehicle with bullets and narrowly missed him and his 4-year-old nephew. His case was ultimately thrown out however, but investigators still believe he's the culprit.

"On Wednesday we have an extremely hard game which for some would be impossible, but not for us", Simeone told reporters. The French striker was surrounded by three Atletico defenders by the end line but found a way to get past all of them with a pair of quick touches.

"We are seeing Juanfran and Gimenez improving, and [Kevin] Gameiro and [Yannick] Carrasco are much better now after their problems", he said.

"Real Madrid are absolutely not the favourites".

"Tomorrow is another game and we have to prove ourselves".

The home side had the wind taken out of their sails, and they struggled to make an impression in the second half, but Navas made a stunning double save with 25 minutes left to keep Real's margin intact.

The defeat of 0: 3 in the first game of "Atletico" akin to a disaster. It gave me goosebumps.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale, Dani Carvajal, Pepe, Fabio Coentrao and Mariano will miss the game, with the first two being still on the sidelines and working to recover in time for a possible final with Juventus.
