Describing himself as "pachai thamizhan" (true Tamizh), the actor lamented that the "system" had become polluted despite existence of many good leaders. "But the system is rotten. Meanwhile, there have been rumours about Rajinikanth starting his own political outfit with the backing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is trying to establish its presence in the southern state and is looking for a face for the party there. And it could be just around the corner, for those who have watched him for decades believe that this is the biggest hint that he has ever given indicating that he will join politics.

If he did, he had added, he would show the door to all "money-minded" people. The actor also said he had made a mistake by backing a political alliance 21 years ago.
