Google Pixel XL 2 Codenamed Muskie Reportedly Cancelled

It wouldn't surprise me if Google followed the recent trend set by LG and Samsung by granting their larger handset tinier bezels to allow a bigger screen to fit in a smaller body. As Googles vision for its self-released smartphone shifted from Nexus to Pixel, along came a new and updated Pixel Launcher, one that would effectively replace the Google Now Launcher until it was discontinued back in March.

Citing information from separate unnamed sources, Ruddock says Google has shelved its plans for a device codenamed "Muskie". But as per rumors, it's been said that the company might release three phones this year, with the third featuring an even bigger screen than the already-large Pixel XL. Last year, the original Google Pixel devices hit the world and it changed it forever. The Taimen will retain the high-end specs that would have graced the Pixel XL 2, such as the Snapdragon 835 SoC and 4GB of RAM. Now, a report is claiming that Google has officially cut one of the models and will only move forward with two new Pixel phones.

"However, children remain at risk everywhere until polio is completely stopped", a United Nations statement said. Polio had in the last 30 years paralyzed more than 350,000 children in more than 125 countries across the world.

Earlier this year a report surfaced that detailed the rumored codenames for Google's upcoming successors to the Pixel and Pixel XL. Now we hear from Android Police, a website known for precise Nexus and Pixel leaks and rumors, that "muskie" has been scrapped, possibly in favor of a larger-screen successor to the Pixel XL. David Ruddock proceeded to state that he was "fairly confident" this will actually go on to become the 2nd generation Pixel XL, and thus it's possible Google is increasing the screen size of its large-screen Pixel flagship for 2017.
