The New iPad Pro's Secrets Are Out

Reviewer praise for Apple's 10.5-inch iPad Pro often starts with the tablet's screen, which (thanks to smaller bezels) is larger than the one found on the 9.7-inch Pro launched a year ago (and now discontinued), even though the devices have similar form factors. As for the rumors being linked to the upcoming iPad Pro, everything should be taken with a grain of salt in mind.

On the iPad Pro, demanding games will be smoother and provide sharper graphics and better textures. Almost everything feels effortlessly fast - now we just need the software to catch up to the hardware.

That said, the new iPad Pro is considerably faster than other devices in its category, even beating last year's MacBook Pro in some tests. That's about to change. This improved developer and software support is important to sustain traditional content creation roles but now also helps drive VR.

But if you want to be ready to be transported into the Post PC era full-on, get the iPad Pro 10.5 inch, buckle up and get ready for iOS 11. That's to be expected; it's the latest and greatest slate powered by the powerful new A10X Fusion processor. When watching a movie filmed at 30 frames per second, for example, the iPad will refresh the screen at a quarter of the standard operating rate.
