Netflix gives fans a peek at She's Gotta Have It series

Netflix has revealed the announcement teaser for Spike Lee's new She's Gotta Have It series, based on his classic 1986 debut feature.

She's Gotta Have It arrives on Netflix on November 23rd. While he's previously directed TV episodes, it's the first time he's directed an entire show. "Shots Fired" scene stealer DeWanda Wise is taking on the part of Nola Darling, the artist at the center of the story, that was played to perfection in the film by Tracy Camilla Johns.

Co-operative Bank no longer up for sale
The lender added that discussions continue regarding the separation of the Co-op Group pension scheme. In March the lender said its sale will require a capital injection of between £700m and £750m .

Eye-catching images of black kids and adults in NY flash on the screen as the captions read "A Spike Lee Joint".

The series began filming last fall after Lee posted an open casting call for NY acting hopefuls to make cameo appearances. "It was my wife, Tonya Lewis Lee, producer in her own right, who had the vision to take my film from the big screen and turn it into an episodic series", he said. The Netflix cast also includes Cleo Anthony, Anthony Ramos, Margot Bingham, Lyric Bent, Chyna Layne, Ilfenesh Hadera, Kim Director, and Sydney Morton. It will be interesting to see how Lee approaches a mini-series. In the film, Lee also played that latter part.
