Monday we have the NBA Awards.

The NBA Awards 2017 show will be presented on television starting at 9 p.m. The post-draft show will announce all of the major end of the year awards and here are a few names you should look out for in each category.

Media voting for the MVP award closed on April 14.

Russell Westbrook #0 of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Western Conference and James Harden #13 of the Houston Rockets and the Western Conference warm up before the NBA All-Star Game 2016 at the Air Canada Centre on February 14, 2016 in Toronto.

"Regardless of who wins the award, it feels like the lengthy delay in handing it out - coupled with the historic Finals performances of three non-finalists with MVP-like résumés - will take some of the shine off of it".

The point guard beat out Houston's James Harden and San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard to succeed Stephen Curry, who had won the past two MVP awards.

Philando Castile family reaches $3M settlement in death
Paul and now the founder of New North, said he doesn't want there to be any illusions about the significance of the settlement. Bennett said Castile's girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, is not part of the settlement announced Monday.

NEW YORK-Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook won the NBA's MVP award after setting a single-season record for triple-doubles with 42.

Like his unpredictable style and monumental regular-season performances, Westbrook's win defied convention yet again on Monday. Both Gordon and Williams have the stats to be named winners while Andre Iguodala did everything for the Warriors off the bench. "We stuck together, and that's the thing I'm most proud about".

As TV fans we try to catch as much of our favorite shows that we can but sometimes life gets in the way. You can watch them below courtesy of National Basketball Association on TNT.

Defensive Player of the Year: Draymond Green. Gobert was the defensive anchor for the Jazz, and Green was the heart of the defense for the Warriors, capable of defending positions one thru five. Harden and the Rockets' record for the season was 55-27, coming in third in the Western Conference.

D'Antoni, who also won the award while coaching Phoenix, followed Rockets guard Eric Gordon's win for Sixth Man of the Year. It's going to make you wonder the next time you hear someone say it's all about winning, because four players, two of which were Harden and Leonard, were responsible for a lot more wins than Westbrook this year, even relative to the teams the played on.

Giannis Antetokuonmpo is probably the leading candidate for this award, but he was already known around the league as a budding All-Star before last season.

Wearing a teal suit with black trim, a smiling Howard insisted he can return to being a dominant center with the Charlotte Hornets, where he will be reunited with Coach Steve Clifford and play for one of his childhood heroes, team owner Michael Jordan.
