On Thursday afternoon Kylie and Kendall tweeted that the shirts had been pulled from their Kendall + Kylie site and issued an apology for their designs, which they say were "not well thought out".

Last week in surprising news that brought the Kardashian/Jenner clan into controversy, for what surely must be the first time ever, Kendall and Kylie Jenner copped an absolute roasting from the music industry over a tone deaf new line of super spenno tees that emblazoned their ubiquitous faces over "vintage" band merch imagery.

"Girls, you haven't earned the right to put your face with musical icons", wrote Sharon.

"I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this", wrote Voletta Wallace, whose son was killed in a 1997 drive-by shooting.

Notorious B.I.G.'s estate is still not pleased with the famous sisters, even after they apologized and pulled the line from their site.

"I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of Tupac and my son Christopher to sell a T-shirt". "This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!"

It's quite a fitting stunt for Arcade Fire, whose social media for their new album has taken on a sarcastic pro-capitalist tone of late.

However, unlike the price tag that came with Kendall and Kylie's tees the band are selling theirs for $40 AUD and all the proceeds will be going to the Partners in Health charity.

"These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologise to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists".
