Apple's upgraded line-up of iPads, MacBooks, and iMacs, that were showcased at company's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Jose will be available in India starting today.
After the introductions of the goods and services tax (GST), all the mobile phones have attracted 12% taxes. Also, the price cut may be due to local manufacturing of Apple's products in the country.
The price of MacBook Air, which was upgraded with 1.8GHz Broadwell chip recently, will commence from Rs 77,200 for the 128GB variant. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor and screen resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels. The WiFi only 64GB variant is priced at Rs 52,990, the 256GB model is available for Rs 60,900 and the 512GB model retails for Rs 76,900.
Similarly, the company has also upgraded all the MacBook Pros released in 2016.

The MacBook Pro with a 13-inch display, no touch bar, and 128GB SSD will be made available at Rs. 1,04,900 and the 256GB variant will cost at Rs.1,47,900. One is with TouchBar and the other is without TouchBar. The 64GB, 256GB and 512GB variants are priced at Rs 63,900, Rs 71,900, and Rs 87,900, respectively. Even then this model gives out the best performance results for both the likes of businessmen and creative field professionals in their working space, as the iPad Pro 2 10.5-inch model is built around an updated A10X Fusion processor. The iMac variant with the Retina Display has a 3.0 GHz quad core Intel Core i5 processor.
Apple introduced two different iPad Pro models-the one with the 10.5 inch display and the other with a 12.9 inch display. It comes with the option of Intel Core m3 or Intel Core i5 processor, with Turbo boost of up top 3.2GHz supported.
Apple has killed its 9.7-inch iPad Pro, so now users have an option to choose between 10.5-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The 256GB and 512GB options cost Rs 58,300 and Rs 73,900 respectively. The Cellular and WiFi variants start at Rs 61,400 for 64GB option, Rs 68,900 for 256GB variant, and Rs 84,500 for the 512GB sets, the report said. The 21.5-inch iMac without Retina display starts at Rs 90,200 while the model with the high-res Retina display starts at Rs 1,06,400.
The devices sport a 13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display with IPS technology and 2,560x1,600 native resolution at 227ppi pixel density and come packed with an 8GB RAM.
