Josh Cooley to direct 'Toy Story 4' after John Lasseter steps down

Why? The Disney giants (remember, the company owns LucasFilm, Pixar and Marvel) will assemble for the Wreck-It Ralph sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.

Initially wary of the glitch, they quickly realise she is a princess too with a series of questions, including 'Do people assume all of your problems got solved because a big, strong man showed up?'

Characters from another galaxy far far away will also be involved in the meta mashup: Star Wars. Ralph and Vanellope battle pop-up ads as they make their way through the internet as seen in the trailer.

The character is Yesss and she is dressed in blue, extravagantly. Once there, they meet a trendy algorithm named Yesss (voiced by Taraji P. Henson) who teaches them what going viral is all about. "Yesss knows about everything cool and on trend".

John Lasseter came on stage, using a merch gun to whip the crowd into a frenzy, and he showed off footage he dubbed "the speed test".

Kristen Bell, the voice of Anna in "Frozen", introduced the next presentation with the new holiday featurette, "Olaf's Frozen Adventure".

Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 is set to open November 21, 2018.

Let's look at an exclusive clip from Wreck-It Ralph 2. The best parts of the footage showcased some classic Disney synergy as we see Storm Troopers and Stan Lee walk around before Silverman's Vanellope finds herself face-to-face with all the classic Disney princesses. What follows is a sharp send-up of decades of Disney princess history as Elsa (in a shirt that says "Just Let It Go"), Aurora ("Nap Queen"), Moana ("Shiny"), and an incomprehensibly Scottish Merida ("Mum") mercilessly skewer princess stereotypes.

According to a clip screened at D23, the meeting doesn't get off to the right start initially - with Vanellope barging in on the happily-ever-after gals as they hang in their dressing room backstage.

C-3PO comes to give princesses a five minute call time to show.

The original voice cast is returning, including Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone, with the exception of Dash. "Toy Story 4" is set for a June 2019 release. But Lasseter did use the moment to announce that he was stepping aside from directing the next film and that his co-director, "Inside Out" screenwriter Josh Cooley, will helm the movie solo. Details were minimal, but Scanlon promised more at the next D23 Expo.
