12-year-old girl struck, killed by boat on New Hampshire lake

A 12-year-old girl has died after being hit by a boat in the town of Hebron.

Marine Patrol got the call close to 8:30 Monday morning about a serious boating accident.

New Hampshire State Police say the girl was water skiing on the lake in front of the Hillside Inn as her family watched from a towing boat. As her dad circled back to pick her up, the boat slowly ran over her when her father's "attention was briefly distracted".

Taoiseach plans to refund water charges by end of year
THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS to begin refunding water charges by the autumn, with the majority to be repaid by the end of the year. The news which will be welcomed by over 1 million householders was confirmed by a Government spokesperson this afternoon.


The girl was helped out of the water and CPR was initiated, but efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.

The girl was visiting New Hampshire from Colorado with her parents and sibling, the girl's grandfather told WMUR.

Police are not releasing the name of the girl or her father at this time.
