During the Disney Parks & Resorts panel at D23 Expo 2017 this afternoon, chairman Bob Chapek announced that Toy Story Land will officially open at Disney Hollywood Studios in summer of 2018, though he didn't provide a specific date. The announcement came Saturday at the D23 Expo for Disney fans in Anaheim.
The Meyer Werft yard in Germany will construct all three. Those are slated to launch in 2021 and 2023.
All ship names, design plans and itineraries are still in development, with each of the ships expected to have their own unique experiences.
"We decided two ships wouldn't be enough to hold all of the exciting new experiences we have been dreaming up to take family cruise vacations to a whole new level with immersive Disney storytelling, world-class family entertainment, and imaginative innovations that are fantastically fun and uniquely Disney", "By the time all three new ships are sailing, we'll have almost doubled the size of our existing fleet". All three ships will be powered by clean-burning liquefied natural gas and all will be the same size.

Few details about the new ships were given, except to say that each would have about 1,250 staterooms, slightly larger than Disney's newest ships, according to a news release.
