New 'EX' fighting game from Arika showcased at EVO 2017

Arika confirms untitled fighting game with Street Fighter EX characters

Everything known about "EX" so far includes it being playable on PS4 and it possibly being released on April Fool's Day 2018.

On April Fools Day this year, Street Fighter EX series developer Arika announced a new fighting game.

Arika stated that "This game will be the newest entry in the EX Series".

At Evo 2017, everyone received more confirming news that this brand new fighter will exist in some way, shape or form. In a way, I guess it's a good thing given that now we're going to see more competition in the fighting game arena, and hopefully it will force Capcom to go back to making good games again.

The trailer for the next fighting game of Arika presents some characters pertaining to the games of the series of Street Fighter EX like Kairi, Hokuto, Garuda, Skullomania and Darun Mister.

KLAS also reported, citing an unnamed source "close to the story", that a threatening note was left in the office. A Metro Police spokesperson declined to reveal further details, saying the investigation was ongoing.

At the end of the year there will be a beta test for the game for PlayStation 4 owners.

ARIKA has chose to begin development on a PlayStation 4 version of "Mysterious Fighting Game (Title Undecided)" and make a public announcement on the final day of EVO2017.

Pre-orders will be available in Japan, alongside a beta test. Pre-order bonuses will be announced at a later date. In addition, the studio has promised to reveal new details about the presale and the extras for those who will pre-order the game in advance.
