However, dramatic events unfolded at the Aluva Police club after a lookalike of Appunni turned up. The police also asked Siddique about those who spoke in favour of Dileep in the Amma general body meeting.
As per reports, Dileep's anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Kerala High Court on Friday. It took the High Court's rejection of his petition and direction to appear before police for Appunni to finally appear. It was during the interrogation that Appunni told the police that Dileep knew Pulsar Suni, says a report in Manorama Online. On April 10, Nadirshah received a call from Suni and subsequently, he called Dileep seven times and talked to him for 28 minutes. The police had interrogated him once before the arrest; however, they wanted to re-question him post Dileep's arrest to find out his involvement in the case. Dileep had alleged a lobby led by ad-film maker-turned director was trying to wipe him out of Malayalam film industry.
