Brent crude was up 80 cents at $53.50 a barrel and United States crude was up 60 cents and back up to $50. Germany's DAX Index fell 0.6%, the UK's FTSE 100 Index retreated 1.2% and France's CAC 40 Index slid 1.4%.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report the news. SVU has previously hosted high-profile guest stars like the late Robin Williams, Sharon Stone, Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg and Carol Burnett.

As previously announced, also climbing aboard the procedural-that-just-won't-quit for this season is new showrunner Michael Chernuchin, who previous year helmed Dick Wolf's one-and-done "Chicago Justice". She's also appeared on The Middle, Army Wives, That '70s Show, and Nip/Tuck. She'll also be seen this fall in the indie film Daisy Winters with castmates Iwan Rheon (Inhumans) and Carrie Preston (The Good Fight).

Law & Order: SVU returns Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 9 p.m. on NBC.
