Police arrested two people on Thursday in raids on companies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Similarly, early last month, a small quantity of liquid pasteurised egg - with a "use-by" date of July 20 - was supplied to a number of food businesses for use in bakery products, the FSAI added.
Millions of eggs have been pulled off the shelves in Belgium and Germany, following news of the scare, and 180 farms have been temporarily closed.
A batch of 196,000 contaminated Belgian eggs was put on sale between April and May and consumed "without any observed health impact", the French agriculture ministry said. But it is banned from being used to treat animals destined for human consumption, including chickens. It is a common ingredient in veterinary products for getting rid of fleas, lice and ticks in animals.
The pesticide can damage people's kidneys, liver and thyroid glands if eaten in large quantities. However, UK egg farms are undergoing checks to ensure this is the case.

Around 700,000 eggs from Dutch farms implicated in a contamination scare have been distributed to Britain - a figure far higher than the previously estimated 21,000.
The FSA said the 700,000 eggs now in the food chain mainly affected processed food in which egg is one ingredient among many, such as in sandwich fillings or chilled foods. Four major British grocery chains have withdrawn such products, including sandwiches and salads, the FSA said in a statement.
The agency has stressed that the recall is precautionary and that it is "very unlikely that these eggs pose a risk to public health" as they represent a very small percentage of eggs consumed in the UK.
The tests showed that the eggs on these poultry farms was 0.92 mg/kg which is above the safety level set by European health authorities at 0.72 mg/kg.
