The two-day police remand of the two accused ends on Saturday, which is when they will be produced before the court.

A Chandigarh court has sent the accused in Harayana stalking case, Vikas Barala and his friend Ashish Kumar to judicial custody till August 25.

Police arrested the duo after examining the CCTV footage of the incident, saying that they have sufficient evidence against the accused people.

However, both were released from the jail after they got bail in the case.

The court remanded both the accused in judicial custody. He has said that at the time the police rounded up the two suspects that night, there was no woman present. The entire episode has also brought huge embarrassment for the BJP also with opposition parties raising the issue right from Chandigarh to Parliament in Delhi seeking the resignation of Barala from party's Haryana unit presidentship. "What wrong has he done?", Vij asked.
