The Rock Covers Famous Bull Tattoo With a More Menacing One

Dwane "The Rock" Johnson has debuted his brand-new tattoo. The Brahma Bull tattoo that was right in the middle of the ring for so many big matches is no longer what it once was.

At the end of the week, Johnson showed off the finished ink, and it is awesome. For those who want a change later in life, there are options such as tattoo removal or getting another tattoo that covers up the original artwork. We talked for hours and hours and hours of what this means, the evolution, what it means, how it reflects me as a man. In his caption, The Rock opens up about its meaning, explaining how every single stroke is intentional.

Evolution of the bull. After 3 sessions and 22hrs of tattooing with world renowned @NikkoHurtado, the story's complete.

He wanted cracks along the skull because the "heavy damage in the bone" represents 'life's hard lessons I've learned over the years'. To the horns, not pointing up or out to the side, but pointing straight ahead representing relentless energy and forward progress.

He continued, "The core and anchor of this image is in the eye. Look closely and you'll find the life, energy, power and you'll feel the MANA (spirit)".

The star added that the eye 'tells the story of a disruptive positive energy always ready to dent the universe'. "But it's always alive and ready to disrupt the universe and love and protect my family and all things I love with intense passion and gratitude", he wrote.

Essentially, his entire message is a positive one: "Cheers to living, learning, evolving and growing". And to the positive disrupters ready to dent the universe. Every detail is a reflection of my own personal history.

The two-time Golden Globe nominee noted in a statement, "I play a very different character from any I have ever played". She's also appeared on The Middle, Army Wives, That '70s Show , and Nip/Tuck .

Out with the old: His old ink featured a live bull with red looking eyes and an angry expression; it was also significantly smaller.

Another wrote: "It's your tattoo choice but that is the people's arm and I am strangely saddened". "I am a truly blessed human".

"@the rock and I spend time going back and fourth showing him different ideas, different horns different mana", Hurtado shared of the process.

On Friday, he took to Instagram to share an outrageously eye-catching image of the new tattoo that has replaced the bull.

It represents who the Rock IS, to so many of his fans.

From one side of the internet to the other, the response to the new tattoo has been mixed.

Johnson describes Vancouver as "one of my favourite cities in the world" in his Instagram post.
