Burnley stun nine-man Chelsea, Aguero downs Brighton

After a dream start to life at Chelsea, manager Antonio Conte already looks to have a tough job on his hands in his second season in English soccer.

Antonio Conte might not be happy with the lack of discipline shown by his senior players, but the spirit and fight shown by his side should be a positive sign, although Chelsea must avoid these self-inflicted wounds in the future.

"In the second half we deserve compliments because you saw a team who tried when it wasn't easy and at the end of the match we had two men less", he said.

Arriving on the pitch with his side 3-0 down, Morata scored 10 minutes after his introduction, displaying subtle movement, awareness and a deft touch to guide his header past Tom Heaton in the Burnley goal.

Alvaro Morata made his Stamford Bridge debut for the ineffective Michy Batshuayi just before the hour mark, and it was his introduction that seemed to turn the tide in favour of the home side.

Leicester City lost 2-1 at Hull City on the first day last season, but given the unexpected nature of their title win, this was the biggest opening-day shock since Manchester United's 3-1 loss at Aston Villa in 1995.

He brushed aside questions about reported tension with Chelsea's board over signing new players and said he was not anxious because three key players - Eden Hazard, Pedro and Victor Moses - could return from injury and suspension for Chelsea's next game against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

A suspect, identified as 20-year-old James Fields from OH , has been detained on suspicion of second-degree murder. National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Peter Knudson said the cause of the crash had not been determined.

The Chelsea boss was also without the injured trio of Pedro, Eden Hazard and recent arrival Tiemoue Bakayoko, although new striker Alvaro Morata impressed as a second-half substitute, scoring one goal and setting up another for David Luiz.

Chelsea never recovered from the 14th-minute dismissal of captain Gary Cahill, while Cesc Fabregas was sent off later for a second bookable offence as the champions finished with nine men.

"I am not anxious", Conte said.

"They concede the most goals out of anyone in the top six".

Despite his criticism, Rudiger believes Chelsea's attempt to salvage a point against the odds should give them encouragement that the defeat is only a temporary blip.

"This result kills off the away win story for this season but we're not getting carried away", said Dyche. I want to say thank you to the club. As for the transfer market, the club is trying to do the best.

NAN also reports that Wayne Rooney scored the winning goal on his top-flight return to Everton after 13 years.
