A man carrying bloody human leg and a hand stormed Estcourt police station in KwaZulu-Natal Midlands to report that he was exhausted of eating human flesh.
The house where body parts were said to have been found in KwaZulu-Natal Four men have appeared in a South African court facing charges of cannibalism.
Stunned local councillor Mthembeni Majola said one of the suspects led community members and police to the woman's body. Some of them use body parts for ritual purposes.
"They admitted that they were waiting for the body parts to attract maggots".
As investigation into the rare case gathered pace, cops discovered a house where they had stocked human remains. "Apparently maggots collect money for them".

A second suspect was arrested in Estcourt and a third suspect - thought to be a nyanga (medicine man) - was arrested in the Amangwe area. More body parts were found.
They allegedly killed a woman, cut her up and ate parts of her body.
