External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other union ministers will also call on the visiting dignitary who will be accompanied by a high-level delegation.

Our correspondent reports that the upcoming visit will provide an opportunity to both the sides for holding wide-ranging discussions on issues of mutual interest, and advancing age old, special ties of friendship between the two countries.

Prime Minister Modi on Friday made a telephonic call to his Nepali counterpart and assured all possible assistance from India to deal with the situation created by floods.

"In recent years, India-Nepal partnership has witnessed significant growth in all areas of cooperation", the statement said.

The parliamentary election will mark a personal triumph for Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who was sacked by Nepal's last monarch, King Gyanendra, in 2002.

This will be his first India visit after being elected as the Prime Minister for fourth time.

Apart from official engagements in New Delhi, the Prime Minister of Nepal will visit Hyderabad, Tirupati and Bodh Gaya.

The Prime Minister will return home on August 27.
